Children and Young People in Land's End Benefice

Communion before Confirmation

In the Land’s End Benefice we have explored and are ready to adopt the House of Bishops policy of encouraging regular church going children to receive communion before confirmation.

Sunday School

Currently we do not have a regular Sunday School in the benefice but there are activities for children available in church, and there are Family Services on the first Sunday in St Sennen Church at 11am and the third Sunday in St Buryan Church at 10.45am.

Messy Church

Messy Church runs about six times every year, meeting in the village halls on a Sunday afternoon. All ages are welcome to come and learn, make, munch, worship and play together.

No charges but donations are welcomed to help us cover our costs. And do remember 'Messy suitable' clothes too!

Youth Group Sunday Nightzers

The Land’s End Benefice Youth Group is primarily for those young people who are regular members of one of the churches in the benefice or have been confirmed as an Anglican in the past 3-4 years, or those seriously considering confirmation.

The group seeks to support those young people from usually the last term of year six in primary school through the secondary education.

All meetings will include times of prayer and reflection.

Over the year there will usually be a mixture of activities from crafts, social events, games and interactive bible study.

Occasionally there may be other events held outside on the second Sunday.

We strive to give the young people a safe space to explore their spiritual journey and see where their faith connects with the reality of their lives.

Further guidelines of the Youth Group can be found here
